Modla named HR VP at Family Dollar

familydollarJacob J. Modla has been named Vice President — Human Resources of Family Dollar Stores, Inc. (NYSE: FDO). Modla has been with Family Dollar Stores since 2004, when he was hired as Assistant General Counsel. He practiced law in a private firm prior to that.

“At Family Dollar, we are committed to developing and promoting talent from within our Company,” said Bryan Venberg, Senior VP of Human Resources.

Family Dollar Stores began as a single store in 1959. There are now more than 6,500 Family Dollar Stores in the United States. The company employs about 27,000 people.
