northeast-georgiaNortheast Georgia Medical Center has named James R. Walker to the position of vice president of human resources. Walker joined the NGMC administrative staff in May to fill the position vacated by the retirement of Jack Fulbright.

Walker is formerly the vice president of human resources, at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in Spartanburg, S.C. Walker also has prior HR administrative experience with Corporate Leadership Education and Organizational Development; Diversity Management, Language Services, Guest Relations,  Pastoral Care, Child Development Services, Security, Volunteers and Gift Shop, and Employee Occupational Health.

Northeast Georgia Health System is a not-for-profit community health system. It has 557-inpatient and 261-skilled nursing beds that serves almost 700,000 people in more than 13 counties across Northeast Georgia.
