Charlie Gray, formerly the head of HR for Google AdSense, has joined AOL’s Patch Network.  According to AOL, Gray will “oversee Operations, Human Resources, Facilities, Training, Recruiting and Employee Communications.”  Gray worked at Google for six years before leaving the company in May 2009.

Gray joins several other Google alums who have found greener pastures at AOL, most notably company CEO Tim Armstrong.  Longtime AOL employees have been known to refer to new hires from Google as “Vs” in a reference to the science fiction TV series of the same name — whether the nickname refers to their striking resemblence to Morena Baccarin or their evil master plan is unknown.
