luzerne-countyRandi Audi-Davis has resigned as human resources director of Luzerne County effective March 10 after less than a month on the job. According to the Times Leader, Audi-Davis had been considering other positions when she interviewed for the county job and was hired Feb. 5. “She’s moving to a better opportunity,” county clerk Doug Pape told the newspaper.

Audi-Davis was brought on to replace Doug Richards, who was fired in November and pleaded guilty last month to federal corruption charges. Richards predecessor, Kimberli Weiland was also fired in June 2004 after an investigation by the Times Leader confirmed Weiland had been disbarred for altering her law school transcripts and was wanted in Indiana for shoplifting.

The county has already begun creating an advertisement seeking a new HR director, the paper reports.
