Charming Shoppes Inc., a women’s clothing retailer, has appointed Frederick Lamster as its new executive vice president of human resources. Lamster most recently served as chief human resources officer at Southpole Inc.
Lamster will served on Charming Shoppes’ executive leadership team and will report to President Jim Fogarty, the company said in a press release. Prior to working at Southpole, Lamster served as senior V.P. of HR at Aeropostale from 2005 to 2007 and also spent 13 years in human resources at Limited Brands.
Charming Shoppes is based in Bensalem, Pa. and operated 2,121 retail stores in 48 states as of January 30. It operates such stores as Lane Bryant and Fashion Bug among others.
