Missouri State University has hired Edward Choate as its new human resources director.
Choate joins from Minnesota State University-Moorhead, where he has served as human resources director since 2004. Previously he was with Southern Connecticut State University, where he was an employment and labor attorney for human resources, and an adjunct faculty lecturer.
He replaces the retiring Mary Routh.
Missouri State University is located in Springfield. It is the state’s second largest university, with over 21,000 students. In addition to its main campus, it has a two-year branch campus in West Plains, a research campus in Mountain Grove, and various programs in China.
