E.J. “Ned” Holland Jr., senior vice president of human resources and communications for Overland Park, Kansas-based Embarq, will be joining former Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius at the US Department of Health & Human Services.
His position with HHS has not been announced.
At Embarq, Holland’s responsibilities include overseeing employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits, corporate security, internal and external communications, the Intranet and Multimedia Communications Center, and the events management team.
Holland joined Embarq from Sprint, where he was vice president for compensation, benefits, labor and employee relations.
Embarq Corporation is the fourth largest local exchange carrier in the United States and the largest independent local provider, serving customers in 18 states and providing local, long distance, high-speed data and wireless services to residential and business customers.
